Wyatt and I hooked up with the two Matt's and Derek for a long weekend of fishing on Little Last Chance Creek in Plumas County.
Near Reno and Highway 395, Little last Chance Creek is a small stream that flows out of Frenchman Reservoir. I've made several trips to this spot in years past with Matt senior and we always had a great time catching Bows and Browns in the 8 to 14 inch range.
Matt, Matt junior & Derek had a trip planned, So Wyatt and I signed on for a chance for Wyatt and Matt junior to get away from the TVs and computers and stick some lips. We went about a month later then we have in the past, so the fish total wasn't as high as other trips, but the main reason for going was to get Matt and Wyatt outdoors and they had a great time.
Wyatt was the first on the stream and it didn't take long to hook up.

Surrounding terrain.

Wyatt works a spinner through a riffle above the third bridge.

Cleanin' up.

We need to get back to camp and organize the gear.

Looking south from the upper end of Frenchman Reservoir.

One of the runs behind camp.

And another.

During the down time, Wyatt did some booty gathering...

And stream clean up. He's after the old line and bobber hanging in the water.

A trip downstream below the campground to some fly water. Wyatt behind the lens.

Sam working a short run.

This is the left hand stretch after the split.

Fishing an undercut below the split.

The undercut.

Trying to cross without wading.

Caddis Larvae nymph fly.... they work!
